Customer Service Representative: The individual who fills this position must be a people person. Presentation is key as this person is the one who give first impression to all who walk through the doors. This position requires a friendly personality, both in person and on the phone. Some basic duties include scheduling appointments, boarding, checking clients in and out, confirming appointments via phone, closing and opening the till as well as the clinic, filing/completing charts, taking weights and walking clients/patients to the exam rooms, answering the telephone and promoting products and services. As your knowledge and skills develop, opportunities for more responsibility will as well.
Veterinarian Technician: This individual is the Veterinarian's right hand. Some of the basic duties include assessing rooms, filling prescriptions, writing in chart, running diagnostics, monitoring surgery, placing and maintaining IV catheters and treatment of hospitalized patients. As with each position as your knowledge and experience grow, the opportunities for more responsibility will as well. This individual will rotate with the other Veterinary Technicians for the weekend shifts when we have hospitalized patients. This includes treatment on Saturday night, and both Sunday morning and night. If the clinic is closed for a holiday, the individual on call for that weekend would be required to treat in the morning and evening. While experience is preferred it is not required.
Kennel Technician: While all our staff dotes on our patients that pass through, this individual is surrounded by all the furry four legged, and sometimes three legged, critters all the time. Some basic duties include caring for boarding patients, which include but are not limited to bathing, walking, medicating, feeding and just loving each one. Also, maintaining cleanliness of the clinic, cleaning the runs, cleaning the yard, assisting the Veterinarian and Veterinary Technicians as needed, maintaining surgical equipment and bringing patients from the lobby. This position requires weekends as we are a boarding facility and our furry ones need love each and every day. It's important that the person applying for this job understands that this position is not an easy one. While each position is critical to the functioning of the practice, the Kennel Technician requires a responsible, organized and dedicated individual as they are the primary source for maintaining cleanliness throughout the clinic. The person who holds this position is a very valued asset to the clinic.
